El incansable Howe Gelb ha decidido rescatar a sus Giant Sand para editar un álbum que ha titulado "Provisions" y en el que han tomado parte invitados como Neko Case, Isobel Campbell y M. Ward, tal como cita Pitchfork. Saldrá a la venta el 2 de septiembre auspiciado por Yep Roc, y en él también han participado completando la formación de Giant Sand los daneses Thøger T. Lund, Peter Dombernowsky y Anders Pedersen.
Gelb, que el próximo sábado estará actuando dentro del festival Faraday de Vilanova i la Geltrú, ha incluido las siguientes canciones:
