Tras su accidentada actuación en el festival barcelonés Primavera Sound la banda californiana Wavves, que esta noche tenía previsto un concierto en el Museo de Arte Contemporánea de Vigo dentro de la programación del Festival Sinsal, ha decidido cancelar de forma súbita el resto de su gira Europea, más de treinta shows, incluyendo el citado concierto.
Su actuación de Barcelona en el escenario Pitchfork fue de las que hicieron historia, pero para mal, y deja el futuro de la banda en el aire. Estuvo repleta de incidentes que terminaron con lanzamiento de objetos sobre el escenario. Como podemos leer detalladamente en la web que da nombre al escenario, los problemas de sonido y la actitud de su cantante provocaron las iras del público. Según la descripción, el final del show fue rocambolesco, con el batería marchándose del escenario, lanzando las baquetas a su compañero que gritaba en el micro "vuelve aquí hijo de puta, no hemos terminado todavía".
Las causas 'oficiales' que se han dado como excusa de esta cancelación masiva son el estado de ansiedad en el que se encuentra su cantante Nathan Williams y los problemas internos de la banda. Cualquiera lo diría.
